In case you\u2019ve noticed (or even if you haven\u2019t)\u2026 our website hasn\u2019t been properly Act III-ized yet, but I\u2019m here to tell you we\u2019re working on it right now. This page you\u2019re looking at is just a placeholder, but Caspar and the team are hard at work building the website that will heal the world. It\u2019s basically gonna be the website version of cold fusion<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But for the time being, familiarize yourself with the previous news posts below to get caught up with all the stuff that\u2019s been going on (and see some rad John DeLucca Act III art that go with all the songs on the album). The TLDR of it is Act III: This City Made Us<\/em> has been released and is available for purchase on CD at our new Protomen Store<\/a> and Bandcamp<\/a>, as well as digitally on Bandcamp, and I guess you can still buy stuff on iTunes<\/a>? I seriously had to hunt down that purchase link. I actually had to turn on iTunes purchasing in my Apple Music settings. Seems like Apple reeeallly doesn’t want people buying music anymore. Also, it\u2019s on all of the streaming platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019d RATHER you buy the album somehow instead of streaming, that way we actually get paid for it, but if streaming\u2019s the only way you can listen, that works for us too. We just want you to listen and spread the word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes, we\u2019re still working out the pressing of the records, still nothing to report yet, but we\u2019ve made solid progress there, so keep your ears on about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And while we’re talking about records, maybe start bugging the crap out of your local record stores about getting Protomen records and CDs in their shops. They\u2019ll be more inclined to carry our albums if they know you\u2019ll be out there to buy them.  Along with that, we hear some of you are doing an amazing job of getting the word out about the album to radio stations – a huge thank you for that. Keep up the good work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to reach some of our Youtube<\/a> crowd (who seem to be completely silo’d off from our socials and mailing list crowd somehow), we (or rather,\u00a0Joey Ciccoline<\/a>) made this sweet little album announcement video<\/a> to get the word out about the album release. We’d greatly appreciate it if you would do the like – subscribe – share thing with it. That’ll really help it with visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of all that, we have a set of shows coming up in June (18th-20th) at Marathon Music Works in Nashville to celebrate the release of Act III. All three of them sold out in about a week, so that\u2019s pretty sweet, unless you didn\u2019t get tickets in time, and in that case, condolences… HOWEVER\u2026 all hope is not lost. There are a veeeerrrrry limited number of tickets that will pop up in the coming months across at different local Nashville shops, like record stores and such, so follow us on our socials (fb<\/a>, ig<\/a>), + Mailing List<\/a> to know when those drops will happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of the shows, we’ve announced some of the support bands so far and you should probably know about them. Thursday, June 18th will be our long-lost friends from college, Imaginary Baseball League<\/a>! Friday, June 19th will be our long-but-not-lost robot friends from Cyber-Canada, Cybertronic Spree<\/a>!! And then Saturday, June 20th will be our not-overly-long-but-relatively-lost rock and roll friends from Nashville, Diarrhea Planet<\/a>!!! We\u2019ve got some more incredibly rad support to announce, so stay tuned to the proper channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
