Did anyone else notice a Will of One sounding knockoff in the 2nd episode of VGHS? During the part where the red-headed chick shows her game at the start of the episode?

I suspect some grade-A piracy afoot . |

| Definetly sounds Will-of-One-esque....almost a little too much to be coincidence. That's odd. I don't think piracy was intended...try sending one of the producers a private message, just to be sure. Try freddiew on youtube-that's the only one I know. |

I hear it too. I'm looking around to see if there is any credit.
There is a slightly extended version of it at the end. It reminds me of The Will of One Byte by Makeup and Vanity Set but it's not the same. Unless MAVS was credited under his real name I don't know what to say.
As I understand it they're not profiting on this video in any way shape or form. I guess it would fall under homage. There was a Mortal Kombat reference in the beginning as well but I believe none of this is stepping on anyone's toes. |

| Well, I don't know if this answers anything, but one of the creators of VGHS is Chris Pappavaselio AKA the director of the Protomen Documentary. |

From Freddie Wong's AMA on Reddit:
"Originally, I was working on a script called "Hellstorm" with my friends Chris (making the Protomen documentary) and Will (one of the writers). They mentioned VGHS as a side idea during a break from one of our meetings, and Matt (showrunner, co-writer) and I just riffed on it and went. Originally it was much more about arcade cabinets vs. pinball, and had a Mr. Miyagi type of character in a janitor, etc. etc. Some of those elements may return in later seasons." |

I'm 99.525% sure it answers everything. Also, that might very well be who the OP is. Maybe some anagrams could have thrown us off the trail
I loved Pure Pwnage back in the day, and just about any project remotely affiliated with The Protomen tends to tickle my fancy, so I'll be following this. Can't believe they actually managed to break an old IBM keyboard - those things are tanks! I wonder how many takes that took, and how many times it broke the dumpster instead of the other way around. |

Yeah, check OP's post history. It's Chris. If he's posting this topic, I take it he probably got permission from The Protomen/MAVS. |

| Actually, VGHS introduced me to Protomen. After hearing them, I immediately bought both albums. |
