Almost positive that was a dood I was staying with.

Well what the hell's he doing with the interview, then.

Are we sure it didn't end up being this?:

I don't think so; the guy doing it was clean-shaven and skinny. (At least, I remember that.) Also, Panther and Commander were sitting down with the guy a little further back from the merch booth. I think this was around like five or six on Saturday, too...

No, no, that's the one. That's me! I'm Patrick Gann, and I feel honored that said link even got cited. I was interviewing the band while they were doing signing at their merch table from 4:30 to 6:30 on Saturday. That bearded/fatter picture of me on OSV is from like ... 2007? I change from time to time.

Strangely, I didn't end up here by googling my own name or website. I was actually looking for Act III info (looks like "predictions" is the best it gets). I've been obsessing over the previous two albums for months now (I bought them @ MAGFest). I even have my wife and kids digging the music now. My daughter (age 1) likes to dance to "The Hounds." Granted she doesn't realize she's celebrating Wily's victory. But whatever, amazing song amirite?

So HEY! My predictions for Act III ... based on what everyone else says, I can't help but think that a "Roll" character will also be prominent. The big question is whether or not her actions (and, potentially, death) could actually make humanity change, and/or inspire Mega Man to save the day.

In the interview I had with Panther et al, he said that in the storyline they've set up, "things don't look good for humanity." He may have also said it won't be a happy ending... I have the raw audio somewhere. But then, he could've just been throwing me off. Y'know, to build tension and stuff. Wherever they go, it's sure to be genius.

Ok, here is what is really going to happen in the next album.

At the end of Act I, the crowd of people has been killed by Wiley's army, and mega man has vowed to finish the fight of Protoman. Mega Man, seeing that there is nothing he can do to stop all of Wiley's machines from attacking the crowd, flees back to Dr. Light. When he arrives, Dr. Light and Mega Man argue over killing Protoman. (Que epic guitar rock-fest). Angered at Mega Man for killing his son, Dr. Light leaves and wanders the streets of the city in despair. Realizing all too late that Dr. Light will not survive the city streets on his own, Mega Man goes to find him and bring him to safety. (Que epic rock-fest part two).

Scene change: Dr. Wiley in his fortress alone, clearly having gone insane with power from ruling the city, realizes that Light has built another Robot to defeat him. Either from paranoia or the correct assumption that Mega Man will bring his downfall, he begins work on a secret weapon.

Scene change: Mega Man has found Light in the cemetery standing over Emily's grave, asking her what to do. (Que father-son make up song) Light, seeing that the city is in even more danger from Wiley's madness, and seeing that Mega Man may truly have what it takes to save humanity, decides to help Mega Man in the fight by developing more technology to help (Rush the robo dog anyone? Mega Man's also gota have some of those wepons we love so much)

A short while later, Dr. Light sends Mega Man out to finish Protoman's fight. Mega Man leaves alone, but soon after, Light is worried that Mega Man will not return and goes out after him to help. Light is captured by Wiley's forces and brought to Wiley's fortress. Here we have the final confrontation between Light and Wiley (Super emotional fight sequence starts and ends) Wiley, in a fit of rage, locks Light up and plans to force him to watch the death of his second son.

Mega Man thrashes Wiley's army, finally climbing to the top of Wiley's fortress. The Humans of the city will of course have arrived to help Mega Man break through and into Wiley's fortress. At the top of Wiley's fortress, in the rain, thunder and lightning crashing all around, Mega Man fights the last of Wiley's machines, and then is confronted by Wiley's secret weapon.

Mega Man saves the day, but just before the final blow is struck against Wiley, he vanishes in an explosion. He is thought dead, but his body is never found. The city rejoices and humanity is safe. However, Mega Man will never forget the vague outline of the shadowy figure he believes he saw swoop onto Wiley during the blast.

THE END + CLIFF HANGER!!!

that's how its going to be, and I dare anyone to prove me otherwise

The story is a tragedy, and in tragedies heroes die. There's a distinct possibility that Megaman could fall during battle.

This is what I believe may happen to fill in the rest: in Megaman's absence, Dr. Light will have lost everything, and some nights he just wanders the city aimlessly until one night he is assaulted by a machine and is saved by some young adults. They take him to their safe haven where he realizes there is a growing human resistance. Seeing that these people mean business, Light decides to help by creating weapons and also creates Roll. She is built to be able to fight, but ultimately created to bring her brother back because Light is too old to search and Megaman would not trust the word of man. Roll finds Megaman and gives him a message straight from Light, but he is not totally convinced, and Megaman decides to see for himself. Seeing the resistance for himself, Megaman is galvanized and together they go into battle. However, Wily is prepared and the fight will be tougher than before, but with the resistance fighting alongside him they make it to Wily's building. Just before they enter Megaman is fatally wounded and dies outside the building. Moments later, Wily is thrown from the top of his own building.

I hope Wily gets a song. Maybe two.

A while back we all had an idea that the Protomen could do like a short 4-5 song EP that was entirely instrumental, describing the journey of Rush through the streets of the City. He could do all kinds of cool stuff in those songs. And then at the end, you just hear one voice:

"Come here, boy...

Good dog."

Act III starts at the end of Act I, after Wily's restocked his army. Light saw the destruction of man from afar, and runs, far away. He sees Emily's grave, and stops there to pay his respect, as he hasn't done so in a long time. Rock sees him, and asks what his father is doing. Light explains his past with Wily to Rock, in a song, possibly just instrumental, and they go back to the 20th story, where Light shows Rock Joe's helmet. Rock sees how his father reacts to it, and instantly decides what he must do. He runs out, in a song that sounds a lot like The Will of One, and gathers a crowd, and tells them all the story of Joe, even holding up the helmet. One person in the crowd comes forward, not giving his name, but telling Rock to call him Bass, and takes the helmet. He runs ahead of Rock, going to foolishly face Wily, but decides along the way that "This is my time to shine!" and hides in a location he knows Rock will reach. In a different area, Rock has gathered a good sized human resistance, but he knows he still can't fight Wily. Elsewhere, Wily speaks of how, after all these years, he feels that he's missing something. A sentry robot walks in, carrying Bass, saying that he found a member of the rebellion, and asks what to do with him. Wily says to kill Bass, so the robot does, and they discover that Bass is a robot, constructed years ago by Wily. Wily converts him into a fighting robot, even changing Joe's helmet, and sends him out to find and destroy Rock. Soon enough, Rock and Bass face off, and Rock is hurt, thought dead. Light's in the crowd, sees Joe's helmet, and stops for a second. That second is enough for Light to be captured and put in jail. Scene changes, Rock wakes up in a building, repaired by a woman, revealed to be named Roll. Roll found Rock, broken and dying, and nursed him back to life. As Roll repaired him, she found blueprints for another robot, Rush. She builds Rush, repairs Rock, and tells Rock what happened. The scene changes again. It's a few months later, and Light is taken to Wily. Wily intends to dispose of Light himself, and he's about to, but as he draws the knife, Bass runs in. Bass has decided that he wants the world, and tries to kill Wily himself. Rock flies in, on the Rush Jet, and yells for Bass to stop. Bass does, and Light says to Wily that what he's done cannot be forgiven, that he's lost too much by Wily's hand, and punches Wily. Then, he walks away. Rock holds a gun to Wily's head, and Wily is on the ground, groveling. Rock says, in anger, that killing Wily would make him no better then him, so he walks away, telling Bass to "do the honor". After Wily is killed by Bass, Rock turns around and shoots Bass, knocking him out, and takes him to Light to reprogram, saying that Wily will not be repeated. The end.

I think for Act III, they'll get everyone who was ever in the band back to help make it ^^

I always thought it'd be really cool if for the Act III show, they brought back all the original members to play their parts in each act.

So here's what I think it should go like.

Same idea as most of you have said about Roll rising up as a hero. But she will become a hero not by her own choice, it will be more like Tom. Wiley will order to have anything that would remind people of Protoman or Megaman destroyed. Roll will come home to find a robot destroying Megaman's helmet (which she took as she ran from the scene of the massacre) this will send her into a rage which leads her to attack and kill the robot. This story will spread making her well known by the people and wanted by Wiley.

She will inspire others to try standing up to the robots (something people previously thought only robots/cyborgs could do). Other heroes will rise up (maybe someone named Zero?) and they will join together but rather than just attack Wiley's fortress they will simply roam the streets killing whatever robots they find there.

This will trigger Wiley to send an army to find them and destroy them. There will be a showdown where the band of heroes will hold off the robots for a while but then they will fall when Wiley's personal guard comes.

Both Megaman and Dr Light see that Wiley is unprotected and that man is standing up. They go to Wiley's tower to confront him, both not knowing about the other. Megaman will be there first and will fight Wiley (not much of a fight really...) and will be charging his power shot to make the kill when Light walks in (Megaman assumed he had died) and yells out to stop. Wiley takes advantage of the fact that Megaman looks away and stabs him in the throat, killing Megaman.

Light will have a stern talk with Wiley, kind of a "I can't believe it's come to this" type of thing. Then they will fight, but with Wiley being weak from fighting Megaman Light wins but does not kill Wiley, he only ties him to his throne. Then he detonates the fortress while both Doctors are inside.

This explosion will happen just before the band of heroes are all killed (maybe one or two are left). At this point all the robots will power down. The humans will be free, but in the end they will not know what to do without a leader and one of the heroes will become their new leader, starting it all over again...

wow that was a lot longer than I originally intended...
