| Not Protomen related, but there's this one song by The World/Inferno Friendship Society called "Friend in Wien" (here's a video or something http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3ieeCRNZJY). Anyways, the "Cupid have mercy/on fools such as me" part. So much so that I'm getting it tattooed on me in a month or so. |

I like in live shows when Murphy and the guitarists sometimes join in on lines in the chorus |

there's a ton. let the think...
Father of Death: the freaking music box. when I heard them live, and every time I watch the video I recorded of that performance, the first chord of the music box makes me tear up a little. also, "I did not pull the trigger, but I built the gun... that he holds in his hands!"
The Hounds: "WHAT WAS HER NAME?" "Doesn't matter. Now listen... The good Doctor is to blame!"
Here Comes the Arm, when Emily's voice starts to get strong leading up to "The City needs you now!" (I tend to sing that line in an echo.)
The Will of One, "but if I stay here with you, then I will never know the truth/leave them to their doom." the first part because it reminds me of Flash Man's theme from Mega Man 2, the latter because of the strength in it.
The State VS Thomas Light - well, this is one of the few songs that I actually enjoy in which the singer is singing to someone that has the same name as me. also, "I made the man who laid his hands on you!" "What can a dead man do?" the strain, the raw emotion in it... <3 and when I saw them live, The Gambler had the voice of an angel "This is not your fault!"
The Stand (Man or Machine) - "I've been here before, I stood where you stand. They called me the Hero - The Hero of Man." "We've given everything we can. There are no heroes left in man. They'll watch you die to save their lives! They will not stand here by your side." in particular of that, the "They'll watch you die to save their lives" gets me for the emotion in that, too.
The Sons of Fate - "If these people tell this story to their children as they sleep, maybe someday they'll see a hero is just a man who knows he is free." -to me, this is what everything builds up to - the "moral of the story" if you will. that and also, the instrumental bit that is very reminiscent of the games with that...drum? percussion?
there's a ton more, but I'm sure this post is long enough these are my top favorites. |

| The pause between Dr. Light's words and Proto's in the Stand, and the first 'Tell me now...'. |

A lot from "The Good Doctor":
"If you replace the working parts, you get a different machine", "Men sleep tonight with hands of bone, they will wake up with hands of steel", and "We will raise our hands above us, cold steel shining in the sun. With these hands that will not bleed my father's battle will be won!"
Also, practically all of "The Hounds" but particularly:
"What was her name? Doesn't matter!" and "... you forget who turned this city on you forget who plugged this city in!" |

| The Revolver (or is that a Spur?) in the background of The Good Doctor. I would listen to the all instrumental version all day. |
