Had to break out the Wikipedias for other names for Mount Doom. I didn't know that Amon Amarth was one of them. Orodruin and Sammath Naur also refer to the mountain, but I haven't heard of bands by those names |

Right you are!
And if anyone's reading that hasn't heard their stuff, check it out! I didn't have enough time during my college radio days in the station's library to learn everything about them, but I dig just about everything I've heard from the album "Exit" (1981) onward. From what I recall, their earlier stuff is pretty experimental/soundscape-ish and too out-there for my tastes, but even that early stuff might appeal to you if you're enough into hearing cool things done with synths that minimal/absent melody doesn't bother you. |

Cool, the one thing I'm really liking about this thread is all the new music to check out.
Here's a fairly easy one.

MY FAVORITE BAND! TWO CHEAPLY MADE PLASTIC REVOLVERS THAT MAKE THAT GUNSHOT NOISE WHEN YOU PULL THE TRIGGER AND HAVE ORANGE SAFETY CAP or TCMPRTMTGNWYPTTAGOSC as we call call it.
However while typing out this joke of a post because I highly doubt that you have heard of that band, I realize it was Shiny Toy Guns. Whoever wants to do the next one be my guest. |
