Wonder what Commander has against Xbox? Must be a PS3fag.
(j/k lol anyone knows console wars are dumb, I just have a 360 so whatever) |
He said Xboxes were shit, though he did admit they were getting better.
He signed my buddy's PS3 and another's PSP, so there was for sure some bias.
He also told me that if I had brought one of the old models he'd have just pissed on it.
Also I feel bad for Turbo, poor guy just wanted a drink, but people kept catching him and asking him to sign things. I don't think I ever saw him actually get a drink from the beer he was carrying.
And The Gambler, she looked like she kind of wanted to die trying to sign things and run the merch table at the same time. |

He must've gotten a Red Ring back in the day or something. Hey I'm not here to judge, my 360's been faithful to me and I've probably abused the hell out of it.

This is, I think, where Nightwalker is missed the most. I'm gonna try and get them all to sign my shit before the gig really starts so that I won't be such a nuisance to them. |

Boston was great last night. Couldn't stay for I Fight Dragons but I had my energy depleted immensely by Protomen.
Setlist if I remember correctly:
Hope Rides Alone
Funeral for a Son
Unrest in the House of Light
The Will of One
Vengeance
The Stand (Man or Machine)
The Sons of Fate
The Hounds
Light Up The Night
Due Vendetta
Good show, glad to hear all of Act I (if I'm correct with the setlist). Awesome stuff! Been waiting for them to play Boston proper again. Errr, Greater Boston proper. |

| I could go on, but is a bit difficult for me. And if the band Protoman are open (it seems), then it's even harder to justify the drive (although I also IFD). |

Seconding the "That was amazing" sentiment there. I'm still sore; totally worth it though.

Holly crap that was the most amazing show I have ever been too. If I didn't have a social responsibility to work and pay bills I'd totally hop in my car and drive to PA to catch the show a second time. I mean my god the show was amazing. I never heard of Protomen before this, I just showed up for IFD but the Protomen totally won me over. IFD were great but I was thinking about the protomen show the whole time I was listening to IFD.
My only regret is I forgot my camera and had to settle for recording the experiences on my phone which does not do the sound justice.
Thank you for the Sonic-gasm.
I've never been this excited about a band before. |

Welcome to the Protomen experience. If you're anything like me, your hype levels won't drop for years and all your friends will start to hate you because you won't shut up about the band.
In other news, the Durham NC show was fantastic. Can't wait until they come through the area again, hopefully with enough notice that I can take time off work to follow them around on my motorcycle for a week.
The show also informed me that I need to do some more work on my protogat. I've got this belt of fake ammo that I need to secure better somehow, and it still beats the hell out of my knuckles when I fist-pump it. I also need to get a proper tinted visor for my bike helmet. the built-in retractable sun visor doesn't cut it, and it would look better if I left the chin bar on (its modular). |

I remember you!
Chiming in to also say that the Durham show was incredible! Especially during the second half, all of Joe's songs completely blew me away, even though this is the third time I've seen them live (Gambler was top notch too, as always). I especially loved the vocalization Panther added to Due Vendetta, it was a very pleasant surprise! |

| I was a bit confused that they performed all of Act II in Durham and no 80's covers and no Will of One. I don't think some of the songs from Act II sound that great (State vs Thomas Light comes to mind) in the crappy bar sound systems The Protomen end up having to deal with. I much preferred the combined Act I/Act II set they performed at the Nightlight in Chapel Hill last year. |

| I agree, the beginning was a bit rocky (Good Doctor - State VS Thomas), but it gradually smoothed out and by Joe's songs they were killer, in my opinion. Mostly due to the sound system. :/ |
