recently ive been listening to the unicorns alot and nirvana. its a weird combo but its what i do. typically i listen to nirvana when driving around so go a little to fast on that high way but hey i ddint kill any one right?
oh i also listened to some interpol for a bit. but for the past week or so im hardcore in the unicorns. |

I love Interpol. Their first two albums more than the third. The first album's sound was technical, but at the same time, it was raw and emotional. The subsequent albums, Paul Banks just sounded very bored, and the musicians seemed more like robots than people. It did work for the second album at least, and I thought that's what they were going for. Then the third album came out, and they sounded more souless than ever. Ehh. With Carlos D leaving, they need to pull a Korn. Less studio effects, more musicianship.

MF Doom - Operation Doomsday
Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagynecologyst
Akira Yamakoa's Silent Hill soundtracks
John 5 - Songs for Sanity/Art of Malice
Burn it to a CD and pop it in while I drive. Better than wrestling with the radio. |

Maaaan, I love me some Interpol. I loved the first two ablums about equally and I haven't really listened to the third album much.
Have you listened to their song "Lights" from their upcoming album? It's goddamn fantastic. I don't know why it's so good but it is.
As for other music, I've been listening to The Ascent of Everest which is actually Sir Robert Bakker's side project. It's pretty damn epic especially live because there's so many musical layers that it just blows your mind.
And then I've been listening to the STYX, Journey, Against Me!, and Mozart stations on Pandora. |

Yeah, I heard it. It sounds okay. The big buildup has that emotion I recall from the first album, the raw power, but at the same time has that whole technical sound they're after. |

| ive really only been listening to their first album, their second one is ok and i like the song "evil" from their third album but besides that its first album all the way. |

Recently, I've been listening to...
The Apples in Stereo - Fun Trick Noisemaker - their debut studio album, and much less sugary than their subsequent releases. Reminds me a lot of earlier of Montreal albums, which I enjoy.
Julian Casablancas - Phrazes for the Young - I just kind of stumbled on to this album, and I've been listening to it very slowly, but I really do enjoy "Left & Right in the Dark" and "11th Dimension"
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes - Up From Below - I enjoy it... but probably just because of Alex Ebert. I like that he's doing stuff, I just miss Ima Robot. |
